LICHTROUTEN

The building becomes part of the system.
For LICHTROUTEN, Emanation expands from a screen-based generative artwork into a site-responsive projection across the rear façade of Lüdenscheid City Library.
The architecture becomes part of a live system connecting three scales: distant cosmic conditions, sound from the immediate public space, and the digital generative system interpreting both through geometry, movement, light and sound.
Not a film. Not a fixed animation.
The digital responds to the physical.
The physical gives the digital somewhere to exist.
Cosmic conditions, generative processes and sound from the surrounding environment continually alter the work's state. The projection remains live throughout the exhibition rather than mapping a predetermined sequence onto the building.
Data changes the conditions under which the work evolves — movement, pressure, luminosity and colour — without selecting from a library of fixed outcomes.

Ancient meaning. Futuristic form.
Emanation explores the space between ancient symbolic systems and contemporary computation. Sacred geometry, generative sound and live data are brought together as a precise but mysterious public experience.
The intention is not to overwhelm the viewer with information. The audience does not need to understand the underlying data; they encounter its effects through the changing surface of the building.
