The encounter

Stay with it.
Notice what changes.

The work generates its image and sound in the browser. Geometry emerges, overlaps and recedes; the composition continues beyond any one view.

Open the artwork to begin. Sound starts with your permission. Microphone input is optional. Headphones offer a more personal encounter.

Live

A changing field.

External conditions and the system’s internal timing influence how the work evolves. The artwork’s own readout identifies the state of its inputs.

Meditation

A slower attention.

A more contemplative state, organised around a slower breathing rhythm. The same instrument, with a different sense of time.

How it works

An authored system.
An open encounter.

The rules define a visual and musical language. Inputs influence behaviour within those boundaries. The Lab separates those relationships so you can explore them one at a time.

Presenting the work

From screen
to space.

The browser artwork provides a starting point for projection and installation. Light levels, sound, orientation and audience proximity become part of the work.

Presentation needs a suitable computer, display or projector, and an agreed sound arrangement. A physical installation is developed and budgeted for its site.
